About Us

          The Acadian Home Builders Association
(AHBA) represents over 725 building industry
professionals in Acadiana and donates
hundreds of thousands of dollars annually to
various non-profit shelter agencies. The strong
growth and participation of the membership
have enabled AHBA to continue its commitment
to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity,
Faith House, Acadiana Youth, and St. Michael's
Center for Veterans. AHBA has also funded
construction technology scholarships at UL
Lafayette to help train Acadiana's future builders.
The Acadian Home Builders Association is proud to parter with KATC-TV 3 once again on the 6th Annual Home for the Holidays project. As always, the builder and associate members of AHBA have been working hard to build a new, state-of-the-art home, and the profits are dedicated to providing more stable and predictable funding for their many charitable commitments. The 2010 Home for the Holidays will be raffled December 8th during a live drawing on KATC.
In addition to benefitting shelter related charities, a portion of the profits from Home for the Holidays will be invested in the endowed fund which AHBA has established within the Community Foundation of Acadiana. As the principal grows, AHBA will be able to rely on the interest earnings as a stable funding source for their many charitable and civic commitments.
